This pillar is nicely sized and fits most standard candle holders. It makes for nice little gifts. It is also one of the more popular sizes due to it's sturdy look. This one is a basic necessity. On the very first time you light it, let the wax pool in the centre to about a 1/4 inch from the outer edge. Gently push the edges inwards. This will pull down all the wax as it burns.
